Savers Donations & Location Near You

Savers was established in 1988. It has partnered with different non-profit charity organizations such as Epilepsy foundation, The Arc, and Big Brothers Big Sisters in its operations. Savers has many thrift stores in states including California, Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, and Washington.

The company itself is a chain of for-profit thrift stores that accepts clothing and donations from non-profit companies in bulk and resells it. The items delivered to organizations like Savers are the ones that the donating companies could not sell. At Savers, these textiles are turned into rags or insulations. Through its unique recycling approach, Savers is estimated to save 700 million pounds of waste items from making their way to landfills every year.

Moreover, textiles that Savers could not repurpose or sell are turned over to waste management companies that dispose of such items. If there are metals in clothes, they are sold at the raw value to local buyers.

You can donate directly at Savers thrift stores. Most of these will accept garments, small furniture, sports equipment, accessories, shoes, appliances, games, houseware, jewelry, media, etc. Nonetheless, you should contact the local thrift store to confirm the items they are accepting.

There is no pickup service available so you have to drop off the packages at donation points by yourself. There are, however, numerous Donation Drop Spot bins where you can drop items for charity.
