Hearts For The Homeless Donations & Location Near You

The headquarters for the Hearts for the Homeless was established in Buffalo, New York but the organization itself was first founded in Western New York by a Christian missionary, Ron Calandra. Currently, the foundation is working actively in this region.

It manages its operation with the help of volunteers. The company gathers and delivers information about shelter services for the homeless and underserved communities in the US.

Hearts for the Homeless is also running a mobile soup kitchen to provide food to the needy and works on delivering winter clothing to them. In August 2019, it also constructed a food pantry to be used as a Cafe and bottle recycling center.

It is also a member of the Western New York Coalition for Donated Goods and along with other participants it hopes to educate the public about the importance of recycling and spread awareness on how item donations can help reduce the burden on landfills and household waste. The funds raised by the Coalition-sponsored events are divided among the members of the collaboration.

Heart for the Homeless has one of the largest clothing donation bin collections in the country. Approximately 400 of these are stationed in Western New York where you can drop off the donations. Unfortunately, there are no pickup services.

The donation bins from this organization are color-coded and equipped with Enevo sensors. You can find the one closest to you by using the foundation’s official website or contacting them through an online form.

Hearts for the Homeless foundation also runs a Hearts Thrift Store. This is located on Tonawanda St., Buffalo, New York. It accepts a variety of donation items but you should contact the center beforehand to get hold of the preferred donation type.
