USAgain Donations & Location Near You
USAgain was founded in 1999 in Seattle, Washington but the headquarters are currently located in Illinois. It has 10 warehouse locations where you can share clothing boxes and other donations and operates in at least 14 states in the US including Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Alabama, Washington, Missouri, North Dakota, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, and more.
It is a non-profit group that works towards environmental betterment by recycling waste items such as clothing. It then distributes recycled materials to nations outside the US with the help of enterprising individuals in needy communities outside the country.
It also works with other environmental advocacy groups to spread awareness about the importance of reusing textiles, and clothes and the negative impact of disposing of this material in landfills.
In addition to being a member of several professional recycling associations, the organization is working with its partner, Trees for the Future, another non-product company based in Maryland to actively plant a tree every time one of the donation bins is filled. As per recent reports, it has already helped in the planting of more than a million trees in tropical areas.
Interested donors can drop off items at the donation bins that are collected by the company. Some of the items that it takes in donations include footwear, garments, clothes, and accessories.
