Greendrop Pick Up Donations & Location Near You
It’s been decades that Greendrop has been operating but the organization’s efforts will come to light in 2020 with the growth of mobile trailers and donation centers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Currently, it has more than 30 mobile trailers to collect hundreds of tons of donations every week.
The goal of the Greendrop charity organization is to collect donations and forward them to its three main partners: the American Red Cross, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and the National Federation of the Blind.
The organization also divided the donated items into classes with the highest quality and damaged goods. Donations that are in the best of condition are given to 2nd Ave. Value stores while the worn-out ones are recycled. Some of the donations are also sent across the border for international sales.
You can donate a variety of stuff which includes clothing, kitchenware, small appliances, sporting goods, electronics, household items, shoes, small pieces of furniture, etc. Moreover, it accepts media such as books, CDs, and videos.
Unlike other charity organizations, Greendrop offers Home Clean-Out services. You can book these online or via phone call. Consequently, the company will send over a representative that can help you decide which items can be donated.
Unfortunately, the organization has not maintained any drop-off donation boxes. There are donation points overviewed by site attendants who will help you unload donated items from the vehicles that donors send. The drop-off centers and mobile stations are located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New York, Maryland, and Delaware.
In addition to stand-alone donation locations, you can also drop off the items at the company’s trucks and container vans that are being used as drop-off stations. You can use their official website to find the closest donation location in your area.
There are pickup services available as well. These can be scheduled via phone or the website. ‘The driver will provide you with a tax receipt when it picks up charity items from your doorsteps.
